Outlook 2000 Multiple Email Addresses

By goodkind ·
I am running outlook 2000 and have just added a second email address to the system. At present whenever I send a message from the new address, in the header it contains the address of the old and the new email addresses. As one is personal and the other work related I only want one visible in a header per email. When sending from the old one no such problem exists with the new one.

Check your Mail account(s) and verify that the email address and reply to address are identical. If different than both will appear in the header information. One for From and the other for Reply-To.

If using exchange:

When sending, Exchange likes to ignore non-default email addresses against your user.

The best way around this is to create a group that contains you and has the extra email address (removing the email address from your own user). Set members able to "Send As" in the permisions for the group (may be on by default). Then when you select the group as from, is send fine.
