    Outlook 2000 /no Exchange Server

    When trying to open Outlook 2000 on a Windows 98 PC I get the following message.
    Network problems are preventing connection to the Microsoft Exchange Server computer.
    Here’s the problem. I don’t have an Exchange Server. How do I get this to stop?

      In the control panel under the mail folder reconfigure the email support to internet only, and set delivery method to personnal folders. It may require a reboot and the 2000 disk to complete the configuration but then you can set your pop email account as you normally would.Hope this helps

      um, in Outlook, tools/services/see if Exchange Service is listed, take it out?
