Outlook 2000 problem with WinXP

Running Windows XP and Outlook 2000 SP1. When try to connect to Exchange Server (5.5) get prompted for username and login. When enter correct information for account receive:

Login credentials supplied were incorrect.

Has anyone run into this problem with Outlook 2000 and WindowsXP?
