Outlook 2002

Sometimes When trying to open up Outlook I get a message that says "Please wait while opening Outlook because it did not shut down properly"
When indeed I did shut it down properly.

Sounds like one or some of your Outlook essential files has become corrupted or was inadvertantly deleted. Try reinstalling Outlook 2002 on top of your current installation--it may prompt you to repair your current installation. If not, then just re-install it.

Remember to backup your email before attempting any of this!! Export to PST file is what I usually do. (File menu, Import\Export, and do it from Outlook Today folder to back up all or just your Calender and\or Contacts folders for those.)

Remember to go to MS Office Update site to update or add any patches that you had added before the problem manifested itself.
