I am running XP Pro and Office XP pro. I am fairly familiar with
Outlook and I have setup a couple of rules to move incoming headers
from the inbox to different folders. I also have Outlook set to only
download headers as I fairly parnoid about viruses etc!
My problem is this:
A new header arrives and is automatically moved to the required
folder, I decide that I want to download all the message so I right
click on the header to check the ‘download message’ button, Outlook
informs me that this action cannot be done in this folder and deletes
the header but does NOT move it to the deleted items folder, it just
vanishes!
Does anyone have any ideas on how I can stop this happening and work
in the folders I want, where the deleted headers have gone and why it
is happening (I would like to know why to satisfy my own curiosity!).
I have solved the problem by removing the rules and simply working in
the inbox and then manually transferring the files but this isn’t what
I want!
The second problem is that I have set Outlook to do an automatic send and receive every 30 minutes when I am on-line (normally permanently) but it simply will not do as it is told!!
Thanks
