Outlook 2007 freezes

By lmalhoit Contributor ·
I have Outlook 2007 loaded on my computer. When I log on as myself, it works just fine. I created another user and logged on to my computer with that username. I started Outlook 2007 and it went through all the steps correctly and opened. However, it won't close unless I end it with the task manager. I tried to take a look at the Add-ins, but when I open Trust Center, it opens it and then freezes Outlook completely. I've tried opening it in safe mode, but that doesn't work either. Any ideas?

Outlook freezes

I do not have KB946983 installed, but still have emails that freeze during preparation, i.e. while I am typing a reply. Anyone know how to fix that one?

Are you using Exchange? I've basically had to make changes in exchange. Run the Best Practices Analyzer and the Troubleshooting helper and see where you have bottlenecks, and it will tell you how to resolve the issues.

This solution worked for me, as well.
