    outlook 2007 restrictions for distribution lists

    how do you get around size restrictions for distribution lists? i have already seperated them into alfabetical groups but seeing the groups get bigger by 12 contacts a week,and its restricted to a size of 135 addresses, i dont want to re organise my dl’s every 3 months

      … and using Mail Merge.

      Outlook isn’t designed for what you want to use it for.

      But, there is ONE thing you might consider. Add people to distribution lists until the list gets full and have to start another. Then, create a master distribution list and simply list the names of other distribution lists in the master list. You can then send to the master list.

        we want to keep the contacts within outlook, and be user friendly, but that second suggestion sounds a goer, i guess that could only be done short term, any ideas on how to get around the size restriction permanently, like a reg hack or something

          There are limits for a reason. Like I said, Outlook is NOT designed to do what you’re wanting to do.

          There is no getting around it.
