Outlook 2K – Alerts in public calendars

by fish128 . Updated 24 years, 9 months ago

In our office, everybody’s calendar is in a public folder so everyone can know everyone else’s availability. My problem is, when you enter a new appointment in the public calendar and try to set an alarm, Outlook won’t let you do so because it is in a public folder. I guess one solution would be to duplicate the appointment entry in a private calendar. However, this would be a real pain since I set a lot of alarms. Does anyone know how to set an alarm on a public folder calendar. Alternatively, can anyone tell me if I can set up Outlok to automatically copy items I enter in my private calendar to copy to my public calendar (at least that way if I have to keep duplicate calendars I won’t have to enter everything twice!)
