Outlook 97 Freezes

Hi All,
I have a NT4 sp6a client using Off 97. We have recently upgraded our mail server to 2000 Adv Serv with Exchange 2000. As of a few days ago, the user experienced slow downs and intermitent freezing of his Outlook 97. As of today, the Outlook97 will either freeze up once it completely opens or it will freeze up once you click on anything in it. While Outlook is frozen Task manager shows all systems normal with Outlook.exe and mapisp32.exe using 00 of CPU and System Idle Process staying at or near 99. Ending the task or the process doesn’t close Outlook down until after numerous end tasks or end process. I installed Off 97 after removing all of the original Off 97 and ran the SR2 patch. This did not help. Any ideas?
