Outlook 97 Rules

What I am wanting to do is set up a rule where I can do the following. If a users sends and email to the IT eamil account I want it to reply only after I open it. I can set up the rule to reply to the user after they send it. The reason I ask is it might be 24 hours before the eamil is read. I could probably get this done with some sort of VB script but I don't know VB. Any clues?

Sorry for the bad news I hate to have to tell you that the only way to do that with a rule is to use VB and that still will not be that easy. How do you have the It email account set up may i can think of a work around for you

The email account is set up internally in the company on Exchange 5.5. Someone in another chat area said I can do this in Outlook 2K. I loaded it and still cannot do the "open" option. I rated the answer unacceptable only because I wanted to see your next response.

hi again i looked my self again to verify my own words but this still can not be done in Ol2K. I have your email address adn i will keep in touch I have conf. on outlook next week and I will post that question to them sorry for know but I will see what i can do

Thanks again. I will rate it acceptable because you were able to verify this for me. Keep in touch. Again it may be done with VB scripting.
