Outlook 98

The error message "not enough system resource memory" is displayed when attempting to attach documents. However, if the document is moved to another location it attaches. There is ample room on the hard drive.

how about in Outlook98? do you regularly empty folders?

or your pc may be having RAM problems multi-tasking a large file attachment to Outlook? Any other programs open? Check what is running in the background (control-alt-del)

I believe you're running out of memory when Win98 is attempting to build the window where you select the file to attach because the original directory contains lots of files. When you moved it to another directory, where it attached successfully, did that directory have fewer files in it?
