Outlook ?adding recipients to PAB

I am running Outlook 2000 on my desktops and I have Exchange 5.5 as my mail server. I want to add names from different address books to my personal address book. I open the address book that contains the names I want to add, I highlight the name and right click on it. I then choose ?add to personal address book?. The problem is that is does not get added. I tried creating a new blank PAB and it still does not work, I also tried moving the new blank PAB from the network drive to my C: drive and it still does not work. I thought maybe it was adding it to my contacts but this was not the case either.
