Hi,
I couldn’t get the Outlook Personal Folder Backup Add-In to work on my computer.
If the add-in is installed by double-clicking the Microsoft download, I’ll get an error message saying that Outlook has caused an error with “oleaut32.dll” every time I start Outlook. Outlook then terminates itself when the error message dialog box is dismissed.
Tried installing the Add-in from within Outlook using its Add-in Manager. Didn’t work either. I’ll still get the same error message and Outlook will closes itself, followed by another error message warning of a conflict with EMSUI32.dll.
Removing and reinstalling Windows, MS Office and the Add-In didn’t help. Tried MS Office’s Detect & Repair; no luck. Tried replacing WinME’s OLE files with those from the O2K setup disk and still couldn’t get it to work. Info of my system is as follows:
Windows ME 4.90.3000 Build 3000

OLEAUT32.dll version 2.40.4515.0
EMSUI32.dll version 5.5.3159.0
Anyone having any idea how to make the Add-In work? Am grateful for any help from you chaps. Many thanks.
