Everthing is contained in a .pst folder.Just do a search for *.pst on your drive (make sure that search hidden files and folders is turned on).

What you might want to do is reinsert your Office disk and do a detect and repair. This should fix your Outlook problems.

There are more than just pst files for your outlook settings I would just find this path on your pc for you profile.
C:\Documents and Settings\<userid>\Local Settings\Application Data\Microsoft\Outlook
C:\Documents and Settings\<userid>\Application Data\Microsoft\Outlook

Copy the whole folder out on your desktop or something, then try to do a detect and repair. If it doesn't let you I would just uninstall office and reinstall it from scratch...

You may not even need to restore you office info but yes it is a good idea to have a back up plan. You actuall email is stored in pst files that should be the most important.

If you are still having trouble there is a inbox repair tool that you can use to fix pst files.;en-us;287497&Product=offxp
