Outlook Distribution List

By swomack ·
This is a strange problem. I have a user that imported another user's Outlook contacts. They are both using Outlook 2000 on 98 machines. The contacts list contains 200 contacts and then there is a distribution list created that uses those 200 contacts. He can open the distribution list and see all 200 of the contacts and their email addresses in there but when he clicks on the New message to contact button it addresses the email just fine but when he double clicks on the distribution list name in the To field the distribution list pops up and has only 10 contacts in it instead of the 200 it had when we looked at the list earlier. I told him to go ahead and send the email and see if it went to more than just those 10 but from our email logs, I can tell it only went to those 10. I am stumped. Any clues?

Personally, I think that it is always better to create than to import. Try to create a new list with the same addresses and see if it gives you the same problem.

Thanks. That's what we ended up doing.
