outlook doesn't work after uninstall/re-install

By sarah ·
i installed office 2007 and when that happened, i lost a connection to a database. so, my boss uninstalled office 2007, we moved the database to a different computer and then re-installed 2007. Now outlook won't open and when i go to add/remove programs and click "change"- in the list of programs there is a red X over microsoft office outlook. Office 2003 is still showing up on my programs list, but when i try to uninstall it, i get a message that the path cannot be found for the installation package.
Any advice or ideas on what i did wrong, or what i can do to get microsoft office outlook working again?

Do you have the rights to move or add files on your network? You can move the install files for MS office to where the add/remove is looking for.
But a lost connection to a data base is not because you updated you just have to point to the data base again. Did you back up before updating? If so look to the back up to see where it was pointed to. And copy it back to the new install. If not copy it from another computer and paste it to the new install.
