    Outlook Email Account Selection!!

    Locked

    by joshua miller ·

I have Outlook XP with several Email accounts and signatures. I would like to create a toolbar in Outlook or Windows to be able to click on a certain message or account and a new email message comes up with the account and signature already set. So I would like to have 5 icons named after my 5 email addresses and upon clicking they would open. Is this possible with either templates, macros, vbscript? Thanks!

You can use the following method.
      – create 5 draft mails as per your requirements.
      – Write a VB project
      * This will contain 5 subroutines. Each one designed to make a copy of one of above 5 draft mails and open it. (This is same as composing a new mail with stationary)
      * Customize the toolbar to add buttons to these different subroutines.
      * The tricky part is to create 5 buttons with link to the correct subroutine.
      * I could not find a way to change the link of a button but 1 work around is to write sub (Say A) and create a link. Then write sub B in the script and create a link.
      * When all buttons are created. just paste all the code for 5 subs A,B,C,D,E in the script.

This way you can add as many buttons as u like.. and you also get a very easy way to change the templates for A,B,C,D,E.

      Hope this helps.

I had the same “problem” and solved it by using the freeware-tool ‘realaccount’.
you can download it from http://www.realpopup.it/realaccount/ or go there to read more info.
Rest asure: i’m not the owner/writer of it .. simply a user.. and it’s working so far so good for me.
