Outlook_Exchng 2k Resolving Names

I am not sure if this falls under a server or client side. I have a users when they enter a persons name in the TO box when creating a message. The name does not resovle depending upon how it is entered.

For example: John Doe will resolve if entered doe john and won’t if it is entered john doe. The red line does not appear under the name because there are multiple addresses for the user. The names are all from the GAL. Thanks,
