Is it possible to change the default font in Outlook Express?

If so, how is it done?

The complete procedure for changing the font in Outlook Express was followed step by step. Yet whenever attempting to send out a new E-Mail message, the fontmust be changed manually.

This procedure has already been done several times as alluded to in the original question. Yet the Arial default font continues to come up whenever any attempt is made to send a new mail message.

This question has even been raised with MicroSoftSupport and no one out there knows how to resolve this problem either.

You have not listed all the procedures you have done. So let me offer a possible solution.
First let me say i have my default font working properly just as the previous person mention.
Next did you try removing Outlook Express 5.5 from your computer by using add remove and then restart your computer and then download Outlook Express 5.5 from the Windows update page. Then do what the previous person mention and it should work in theory.

Yes: Open outlook express. Click tools> options. Click on the "compose" tab. You will see the places to change the font and size.

You should also click on the "send" tab, and set the sending format to HTML (Rich text format). If not, it willonly give you the terminal style fonts.
