Outlook express crashing

When I try deleting messages from OE 5.50 I recieve the following message.

“Msimn has caused and error in DIRECTRDB.DLL Msimn will now close.”

“If you continue to experience problems, try restarting your computer.”

Needles to say restarting does nothing to fix the problem. any help greatly appreciated.
