Outlook express problem help me

My outlook express is telling me that all my emails with attachments. The message where you would get into my atachments says
"OE removed acces to the following unsafe attachments in your mail....." now I have been getting these for all e mails for a little while . but all the emails are from close friends so they will not be unsafe. i have been opening these before for the longest time and then it stopped abruptly with this message. Is there any help for me.

From the OE menu bar,

Tools
Options
Security

Make sure that the check box for do not allow attachments that could potentially be a virus is unchecked.

Hi,
Sorry to hear that you are having problems. This is not unusual with upgrades of operating systems or email client software. You didn't say what OS or Outlook Express version you're using or if you upgraded it lately, but you might try this link to see if it fixes your problem:

This link pertains to Outlook Express's security patch (Windows Update) and involves attachment blocking:

If you want to leave the security level high, just hit forward. Then you can access [with most fire wall systems] the attachments, read or save the attachments and just cancel the forwarded message.
