Outlook Express redownlowds message

Hi,

I am using outlook express 6 in windows2000. I had some problems in internet connection, so i created an account in another machine and changed the store folder to the existing one, in which all my mails are there. But before i completed the change my new identity downloaded some messages and i stopped it. Then i logged off from outlook.

When i restarted it again, my old messages where there, but outlook express is re downloading the existing messages from the mail server again.

All my mails are there safe and sound but outlook express downloads them again. How can i avoid this and make out look to recognize the existing message in my inbox and other folders.
