outlook express window maximizing?

hi; i can not get the window in read mail, new message, forward, reply to open full, it is about an inch from thr right side, and covers the task bar, thw window will not drag right, it will drag left from the right side. the double arrow will not stretch the window, nor will it appear on the left side. compaq 5050 333 mhz celeron,win 98 preinstalled, 96 ram, 6gb hd, ie 6.0, outlookexpress 6.0. thanks
