Such as via Blackberry (Blackberry enterprise server), or Treo (via Active Sync, part of Exchange 2003), On a computer via VPN connection, or via RDP over HTTP (Requires Exchange 2003). You can also access via Outlook Web Access (basically a web interface for your mailbox internal on your network. You need to decide if you need real time syncronization, or is just getting a copy of new messages enough? Or maybe just hitting a web inteface on occasion suffices. Is security a concern? Do you need to control and secure the mobile devices (if you choose the handheld route)? I'm sure if you provide specifics, you'll get lots of responses. I've implemented all the solutions outlined here. I'm sure there are more ways to skin this cat.
