    Outlook Groups/Distribution Lists

    Locked

    by sue t ·

In Outlook from version 2000 on up to and including 2003 is there any way to make only the group or distribution list name show instead of all the names and addresses of everyone in the group. I would like the people I am sending the email to only see the name of the group I am sending it to, not everyones name and address.

Put the distribtion list on the BCC line.
Put a fake name using the a variation of the DL name( All@Once.com) on the To: line.

The only way I know how to achieve this is to have your Exchange Server Administrator create a “listserv” that people can subscribe to.

The listserv will do what you want: when people send email or reply to the listserv email address, the exchange server will send a copy of the email to everyone that is subscribed to the list.

…you may need to buy a 3rd-party package to get Exchange Server to do this…

Poster rated this answer. We don’t use Exchange and most people have their own little groups they like to send to regularly. Thank you for taking the time to answer.
