Outlook logging in

By luv2bike2 ·
One of my users in a different location than I, is having a problem logging into his Outlook account. It is very weird though.
He can log on through OWA with no problem, however when he opens up his Outlook client on his computer he is asked for his log on and password. He puts in the password and it just keeps on bouncing back to enter his password. I have recreated the problem at my end. I can log in with his login and password through OWA, however when I create an email account in Outlook client, login with his username and password, I too, get bounced back to enter the password again. We know that the password is correct because we can log in through OWA.
Anyone have any ideas as to what is happening?

Greatly Appreciated!

Able to access email using OWA but not Outlook

This happens when either the username or the mailbox alias has been changed to something different than when the email account was first created. The simplest fix is to change the mailbox alias on the Exchange General tab of the user's account properties in Active Directory Users and Computers to the same as the user logon name on the Account tab.
