Outlook meeting request undeliverable

By njaneardude ·
Have a strange situation, but most Outlook "q"s are.
When my boss sends out a meeting request he gets a undeliverable for 2 recipients that aren't with the company anymore and do not have existing e-mail accounts.

I looked throughout his Outlook(2002) settings but couldn't find anything with their names.

It appears to not matter who the request is sent to, it always bounces back undeliverable to these 2 former employees.

Any ideas?

Outlook meeting request undeliverable

The delegates need ot be removed from the Outlok Client. One or more of the invitees had the individuals as delegates. When the individuals were remvoed from the Exchange DS, they were not properly removed as delegates.

There are several technetarticles which will help, depending on what the cause is:

Q251168
Q253557
And others (search for delegate)

After finding the delegate you will need to force the client to update their FreeBusy infomration, which includes the Delegate access infomration. To force use the switch /cleanfreebusy. Be careful though using this with Outlook 10/XP you may need to install the latest service pack (SP1).

There is a technet article on this also, search for CleanFreeBusy.

hope this helps.
