Outlook Mobile Access

Hi all,

I am in the process of implementing OMA, and I had a brick wall and I am hoping that one of you guys can help me out.

So far everything seems to be working just fine, but the company wants to prevent employees from being able to configure their own devices to receive emails, because it's against HIPAA and Sarbanes Oxley (SOX) compliance.
So I am thinking that there might be a way to control access by serial number or may be the phone number or any other way.

Like deny all except the following thing:

If you're aware of any method that would do that for me, please let me know

Dont have the answer you want but you could disable activesync and OMA in AD users and computers for all users that dont have company phones. This is long but will get the result

I thought of this idea, but it will not resolve the problem of users who would have the company phones.
those users could have persoanl phone that can be configured to receive email just like the company phone.

AD Properties

Yes if you go to the properties of each user on AD you can go to Exchange Features tab and disable Active Snyc and remote access. We do that I my work.

we want them all to have the service

we want all employees to have the service, but we want to limit it to work woth the company handhelds only.
so I really can't disable the active sync and remote access.
I need a way to filter by serial number or may by phone number or any other way way.
