RE: SMTP is answer to Outlook 2000/Exchange 5.5 quandary
After reading the above posts I was suprised to find out that Microsoft DOES NOT recommend using the Internet Mail Service and Exchange service in the same Outlook 97,98,2000 profile. I recently found this out from a tech net article.

I’ve been setting machines up like this for years. I’d like to get some other opinions about this and if anyone else has ran onto any problems. I think this is a recent policy change from Microsoft Exchange tech support.
