First of all I would try the old standby - REBOOT!!!

That seems to fix more than one problem. Next try:

In Outlook Express try going to Tools | Options |Security Tab

If "Restricted Sites Zone" is checked, change it to Internet Zone.
If "Do Not Allow Attachments to be saved or opened that could potentially be a virus" try unchecking it.

Good Luck,

Steve

I figured it out myself. It seems the file associations were severed. I had to go to Control Panel and restablish the associations in Folder Options/File Type. File extension .URL was not associated with explorer.

Sounds to me like you now have word set up as your default e-mail reader/editor. I don't know which version of Outlook you are using, but check under tools > options > mail options.

Hope this helps....good luck!
