Outlook plug ins and slow start-up times

I've got several Outlook plug-ins running on my machine - Lookout, MindJet MindManager etc. and the start-up time for Outlook seems to be way slower than it used to be.

I'm guessing that the two things are related but wondered if anybody else has seen this or knows if there is some way to "tune" the problem out?

A few things to try. First, try disabling a plug in and see if performance is better, if not, try another, etc.
Second, if you have .pst files on a network share, move them to the local system.
Third, try cleaning out your profile, or create a new profile and see if that helps at all. It may be a profile issue.
Fourth, look for rules running on your email. Disable them.
Fifth, if those dont work, try running a detect and repair.
Sixth, open outlook with the /cleanviews, /cleanprofile, /safe:2, and/or /safe:4 -- this should give an idea where the problem is residing.
Also, clean out your calendar (archive items)
