Outlook: printing inserted pics in msgs.

I recently made the switch to Outlook from Outlook Express. I use Windows XP. After inserting a pic into the body of a message (and having that pic be fully visible on my screen in the message body) I am unable to have that pic print within the body of that message when accessing it – after sending – from the SENT MESSAGES folder. It is simply showing up as a dreaded red ‘x’ in a white box. I’ve tried clicking the “print attached items with files” and “memo style” as well.

This is an important feature in our operation, and I need to find a remedy for this problem. In advance, any and all help much appreciated.
