Outlook - Private Appointments

By steve.reybrock ·
This is a question regarding Outlook that I thought you might
be able to answer.
Do you know of a way to have all of my new Appointments default to being
PRIVATE? Currently when I make a new Appointment the Private box is
blank and I have to check it. I would like it to start out checked.
Any suggestions?

Thanks,

I've found that in order to change the default in certain components/areas of Outlook 2000, you need to edit the form. If you edit the form to automatically have that control enabled, it will make all of your appts. private, unless you deselect thecheck box.

Thanks for the answer. However, the answer raises another question: How do you edit a form in Outlook?

Editing an Outlook Form is actually easier than thought. You can use Outlook's Help feature and it will walk you through the process. Or, you can get some really good books on Outlook 2000 that outline the procedure(s).
