Outlook uses all disk space then...

By joegrosskopf ·
I have one computer with a Microsoft Outlook problem. When the user opens Outlook, the program title screen stays on desktop while all the hard disk space (about 500 MB) dissapears tnen crashes stating that there is no more hard disk space available. I tried scanning for a virus, uninstalling and reinstalling Outlook 2000, upgrading to Outlook 2002 and nothing changes. Has anyone else experianced this? and do you have a solution? Thanks

500MB is not a ton of free hard disk space....
can you try a new profile, if that works, there is something corrupt in the old profile...try running the inbox repair tool (found on installation cd)
other thoughts...can you slap a second hard drivein, make the swap file over on the new drive, then see if it will let you into bad profile? if so, you just need a bigger swap file.
maybe turn off archiving if it is one. remove the archive...is Outlook set up to work offline? turn that off, remove the offline file...
