Outlook Web Access and Security

By JGSearls ·
My Network Administrator is somewhat hesitant to use Outlook Web Access because of security reasons. On the other hand, I work from home frequently and need to have access to my email. I can dial-in but it's very time consuming and ties up my phone line. Are there major security concerns with using Outlook Web Access?

Any time you open up part of your network to the web there are concerns. You can ask about a VPN solution, but that is a little on the expensive side for just one person. You can set Outlook for mobile usage, dial in one time, download all of youremail, and get off the phone. This will free up your phone line but still give you access to the email. Then you can respond to all that you need to, reconnect and send them all at once.
