We are using Outlook Web Access at our school for all our teacher’s email. It is running on Exchange 2000 server. We have a problem with any email that a teacher receives that has a special character in the title of the email. If there is a special character in the title, such as a & or * or $ or @ etc. the email will not open and the teacher receives a Page cannot be Found window. However, if the email is opened in regular Client Outlook 2000, the email is fine.
Someone from another school mentioned that there is a setting that must be wrong onbthe exchange server, but I can not seem to find it. Can anyone shed any light on this issue? Microsoft actually lists this as a problem in the Knowledge base, but I have tested this with other schools also using Web Access Outlook on and Exchange 2000 server and they do not have the problem, so I am convinced it is a configuration issue. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
