Outlook XP and Contacts

I’m having a problem with my Outlook XP and the contacts/email addresses. Although my contacts are there and accessible, my actual “address book” isn’t. Basically, I can’t send emails using my address book because none of the contacts that were inthere are there now. I’ve tried uninstalling and reinstalling Office XP. I’ve also tried the repair feature. Nothing is working. I think the problem occurred when I installed WordPerfect 10 and then removed it along with WordPerfect 8. HELP!!
