Tell us what you think about Mike Talon's advice concerning the planning of overseas disaster recovery and high availability, as featured in the June 10 Disaster Recovery e-newsletter. If you have clients overseas, do you have additional suggestionsthat your IT peers may find useful?

Server-based computing

by philduffield In reply to Overseas disaster recover ...

I work for a Los Angeles based Citrix reseller and we use server-based computing for clients with off-shore facilities. Put all the applications on a server farm(or two for Disaster Recovery)in the U.S. then let all users logon via the Internet. Users need about 20k of bandwidth each to access the servers.
