OWA…Can’t stay logged in
LockedWe have some users, only a handful at most, that cannot seem to stay logged into OWA. It seems to be the PC as it affects everyone on that machine, but not the user (fine if logged onto another PC). It doesn’t seem to be one operating system, it has affected everyone from Win95 to Win2k. What we use OWA for is for our tellers (we’re a bank) and only use Outlook for those who have offices and need access to email all the time.
What happens typically is that the user clicks the link on our Intranet, it asks for username, password and domain. Then it goes to the OWA screen where they type in their username, then the next screen they have to enter their password again, then they are in. Seems a bit lengthy, but it’s what they had when I got here. Since we don’t use OWA outside of the Intranet, I have enabled some users to just enter their name and password once and it goes on in (IE settings). Then, for those users who have problems, everything comes up fine, but when you try to click on an email, it asks you to log in again. Seems to happen mostly on new emails, although I’ve seen it happen on read and unread emails. If you close the new window that pops up and try again, you get the same thing. Likewise, if you are inthe main window and try to log off, it asks you to login again.
I’ve checked service packs, security settings, privacy settings…to no avail. Any suggestions? Thanks.
