I want to install Palm Desktop software for two “Limited account” users on a Windows XP Pro stand alone workstation. I want the users to be able to synchronize their Palm Pilots while logged into their own user accounts but it is not desirable for the users to have administrative rights.
How to I install the Desktop software so this is possible? So far Palm knowledge base and email technical help haven’t been able to help me. Palm email technical help has suggested that I install the software twice … a separate install for each user’s account. Problem is that neither user has administrative rights and the software won’t install without administrative rights.
Details: Palm desktop software (latest) ver. 4.1.4; Windows XP Pro operating system set up for one Adminstrator account and 2 Limited accounts on a stand alone workstation.
