    Palm email problem

    Currently I’m trying to configure a Palm M515 running on Windows 98. The active sink software seems to load correctly. When trying to configure the mail setup it gets about half way then doesn’t respond. Loaded the software onto another machine running Windows 2000 and it works fine. Have upgraded Outlook on the machine to SP-3 with no effect and have even uninstalled the software but still no luck. Help.

      As long as you haven’t got PalmDesktop as your PIM, check you have the latest version of Chapuras PocketMirror Std 3.1.2. In fact, check that it installed at all. Sometimes it doesn’t install. Check that PocketMirror appears in your Outlook Folder list View. If not, you need to reinstall the Palm software. Sometimes going into the PocketMirror folder in Outlook and deleting the file contained bearing your name then Hotsyncing again resolvs the problem. Also remember to check the HotSync Log file via the Hotsync tray icon
