The Palm desktop will not sync with Outlook you need a 3rd party conduit. I use a product called “Desktop To Go” available at http://www.dataviz.com. This product also syncs contacts, notes, todo’s and has the ability to sync public folders if you are running exchange. I’m very happy with the product, it’s well work the price. I think you get a free 30 day trial.

When you install the Palm desktop and you Outlook running, it should ask if you want to use Outlook or the Palm desktop as your calendar (I’m using a Visor, with Palm OS 3.0.1). Try uninstalling the Palm desktop and reinstalling (make sure your username stays the same).

Depending on you version of Palm, mine came with a conduit add on on the cd.

Pocket Mirror lets you sync all of your outlook data to your palm. It is what I use and it works great.

close outlook –> install palm software and select COSTUME installation, by doing that you’ll have the option to select outlook or palm desktop, select outlook and finish installing. then, on the 1st sync. you’ll have to select the right outlook profile to sync with your palm user.

Use the Pocket Mirrior software included in the Palm Desktop CD. But download a patch from its website if u r using Palm OS 3.5 (which I assume so). It is relatively customizable to ur needs, & as a Palm owner it is free. If u r willing to pay, get Desktop-To-Go from Dataviz. It is even more comprehensive, at a price of coz.

When you install your Palm it will ask you if you want to sync with outlook if you hit yes it will install Pocket mirror (You should see a icon for it on the toolbar in outlook)go into that and configure everything
or you can install intelysc (which is real easy to use)

I’m afraid this is the same answer as others – Outlook must have a 3rd party conduit to sync with Palm. Pocket mirror comes with the Palm Desktop program. Merely choose Outlook when installing Palm desktop and a lite version of Pocket Mirror will install. Open Pocket mirror to make sure your settings are mapped correctly, then sync. Calendar will then sync with Palm’s calendar. Another program we use with much success is Intellisync.
