I cannot view my partitions,(used P. Magic v.7)
OP. system XP home
40gig hdd
Any thaughts ?

You may have a corrupt partition table on the drive. If that is the case it may be difficult to recover from this condition. There is a product called The Wreck Disk that can "refresh" your drives partition tables back to a factory default state.Thus allowing you to at least re-install and continue using the hard drive. You can find out more about The Wreck Disk at their web site

Unfortunately, you will lose any data that is on the drive. I don't know of any partition "repair" products and if P.Magic v.7 won't see them then you likely do have a nasty problem and data will not be retrievable.

Can you view the partitions by using WXP's DiskManager instead of PMagic?

If so, then there's nuffin wrong with your disk but you might consider updating your PMagic instead :)
