I am currently working as an IT Engineer/designer/manager with almost independent control over my work, in a media firm’s Software/IT Services Department. I feel like I am capable of doing more things outside the current scope of things. But the IT department is having a rigid structure and getting our ideas implemented is not working due to Business inertia, lethargy in the part of concerned managers etc. I am becoming more and more convinced that, even though I am currently doing the IT related things to the satisfaction of the company, I am
destined to do more things with authority.
Will a Part Time MBA help me in getting out of this mould of an IT manager/designer/Architect and help me become a Business manager? Will it help me in even changing the field in which I currently work?
