Password - Protection

By Frik.Luus ·
How can you put an password protection on colums in excel. That is when you put info in the colums and you want other users to put in their info in but that they can't change your info. Your info is there that they can see what is on the budget but they must not change it. They must only put in their info on the colums that is not password protected

This can be done!

This can be done in Excel!

What you do is:

1. Set the "locked" attribute on the cells you want to protect. Unset it for those you want to be editable. Format -> Cells -> Protection (tab)

2. Protect the sheet via Tools -> Protection -> Protect Sheet.

While the sheet is protected with a password, the "locked" attributes of the cells allow or disallow editing as appropriate.
