Pasting into Excel 2000

I noticed that pasting into Excel 2000 is unreliable when the source is a table from a Web page. Pasting into a new spreadsheet as text puts all the information in one column, then I have to perform a text-to-column conversion. I did not experience this problem in Excel 97
