    PC Anywhere

Help, I’m having a problem with PC ANYWHERE! I work at a library and am using Pc Anywhere 8.02 at two reference Pc’s to log on patrons internet computers. The patrons computers have PC Anywhere version 10 running only because this version hides the host dialog box in the system tray where the user can’t close it. In version 10, you have to specify callers that the host will accept. I have specified this on both the host machine and the server on which the .chf file resides. Yet I still get a prompt to enter my user name and password. Does anyone know why and if there is a setting I can change to fix this?

    thanks

Go to the properties on the remote … the settings tab … halfway down there is a radio button “automatically login to host upon connection” … fill in your username and password here … should stop the box from popping up.

      Hope this helps.

sorry, it is a checkbox, not a radio button … make sure it is checked and the login username/password are filled in.
