I’m fixing a Dell Dimension that had several viruses and a bunch of
spyware. I removed all and have ran several scans since, all find no
additional problems. The problem is with Internet Explorer and getting
to the internet, even pinging. Basically, I can reboot the PC, launch
IE 7, 6 doesn’t matter which version and I’m able to get on the
internet . However, after about 2 minutes I’m no longer able to get to
the internet. I thought it was an IE problem but I can’t even ping.
The connection is still up, IP is the same but it will not let me get
out. If I reboot I’m able to gain access, but again, after about 2 minutes it
stops. I know some will say that there is still viruses but I have run
scans with BitDefender, Windows Defender, several spyware programs and
they all find nothing.
Any ideas, i’m lost!!!!
