Pci serial controller driver

I reformatted a Compaq Deskpro 6300 without the original restore disc and now nothing will work in the pci card slots. Neither the modem or the ethernet card would work. I loaded the drivers for each piece but they would not finish installing or not be recognized. Some where the must be a driver for the pci controller but I cant find it.
