I have a couple of users who have purchased PDAs and want to use them with both their home and work computers. Where can I go to read about installation w/ multiple computers, requirements, issues, etc. Thanks in advance.

not knowing which brand pda you are talking about the best source of info is from the mfg. of the particular pda to start. I am sure they have a web site and I would start there. Multiple computers is nothing complicated and the settings on each machine will govern what that particular pda does when it is connected to a machine.

I had inidtially gone to a website forum which included a lot of entries with synchronization problems which is why I’m thinking there must be issues. One of the PDAs is a Ipaq 8300, the other is a palm pilot. When I installed the software for theipaq on the 2nd computer everything seemed to have gone right except that the user uses Outlook Express rather than Outlook and after synchronizing, nothing seemed to have gone to the PDA except for the 1 address I later added to OUTLOOK and resynchronized. Do some of these devices synchronize only with OUTLOOK?

If they synchronised Outlook or similar PIM info at work, remember to go to the Hotsync tray icon, Custom and set Do nothing to the mail related settings. ALl the data relating to work will be fine and you can use Palm Desktop and install apps without fear of mucking up work stuff
